World Heritage Traveller

Bhutan still is as much the expensive dream destination as when I visited in 1998. I enjoyed getting to know its very peculiar, unique culture – but the persistent rain, bad food and monoculture wore me down in the end. As a destination, it doesn’t rank as high as Nepal or Tibet for me.
